Welcome to Eathook! This policy covers both the Eathook iPhone app and eathook.com. We respect your privacy and explain how we collect, use, and safeguard your information across web and mobile.

1. Information We Collect
Location Data
We use your location to find nearby restaurants, rank results, show maps, and calculate distance. On web, location is requested in your browser and sent to our server only to fetch restaurant data from Google Places. We do not permanently store your location history on our servers.
Account and Sync Data
When you sign in on web or iPhone, we store profile details, favorites, ratings, lists, social connections, and notifications in Firebase so your account stays in sync across devices.
User-Generated Content
We may collect ratings, favorites, lists, photos, and profile information that you choose to save or share.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage data through Firebase Analytics to improve the product. We do not sell personal data.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Rank and display nearby restaurants on web and iOS
- Save favorites, ratings, lists, and profile data
- Sync your account between eathook.com and the iPhone app
- Enable social features such as following other users
- Improve reliability, performance, and product decisions
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We use Google Places, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Firestore, Firebase Storage, and the Apple App Store. We do not sell your personal data or share your location with advertisers.

5. Children's Privacy
Eathook is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
